HL²DM Pro becomes AG²
This news was released on the HL3dmPro site for a while but I don't think many of us go there to read the enws. Anyhow, HL2dmPro is now AG² (Adrenaline Gamer). I am sure we have plenty of old school HLDM players here that played the original Adrenaline Gamer for HLDM. For about 2 years, it was all I played (competitively). It had arena mode and much more. Just kicked ass to play and even run as a server admin because it had so many options. The makers of HL2dmPro talked with built, the old maker/coder of adrenaline gamer and got permission for the go ahead to use the name.

Anyhow, here is some news from their site.


As of now :
. 62 bugs discovered : all of them have been resolved
. 7 requests / enhancements implemented

At the time, AG2 is very near to be shipped but we would like to improve a stuff before releasing it. We'll estimate how much work it represents and then we'll decide if we put it in the release or not.

HL2 Map Release: dm_castle_overload2
Finally finished dm_castle_overload2. Me and my mapping partner (and great friend), Badkarma, went through the map and made some more changes. We didn’t test the map very much because we don’t play the game much anymore. Hopefully there isn’t too many bugs with this release.

I originally made this map for half-life 1 and now I have released it for HL2. There are a ton of changes to this version. The big change would be the removal of several areas in the map. I cut out some of the back areas where players would get lost in hopes of bring the fight to the large open area of the map. The map is packed full of teleports, secret areas, and short cuts. The map has a ton of custom textures.

For those that might not know, ProMod is HL2DM regular Multiplayer with additional features that make the game faster and more addictive and fun to play. The Tau Canon aka Gauss, longjump pack, bunny hopping, wall jump, brightskin models and hitsound are part of it for instance. And there are a lot of other additions that make this mod a real fast paced game. check the full list of features in the Features section. See here for more. Too many game modes to list.... including CTF.

This new version comes with built in bot support.

Action Half-Life 2
Remember Action Half-Life, the mod that allowed you to do all sorts of crazy movie-style combat stunts while blasting your enemies away with cool guns? Well, it's been ported over to the Source engine as Action Half-Life 2.

The mod is still an early beta, so it's "rough around the edges" (as the developers put it). But don't let that stop you from downloading it and reliving your favorite memories, or if this is your first introduction to AHL, making new ones. Firearms: Source
Remember Firearms mod our beloved Half-Life 1? People still play the original but not like th eold days. Firearms is still alive and will soon project itself into the Source engine just Action Half-Life is doing. The good folks at Firearms: Source released a lengthy progress report showcasing the new Red Force player model (rendered and in-action) along with the new fully functioning prone system (pictured below).
